Welcome to Daizy
What Daizy is and how to record your first stock
Daizy is inventory software for factories and small businesses. It tracks each item by location and records every stock change.
First steps
- Create an account and name your organization.
- Add an item — the thing you stock.
- Add a location if you have more than one place stock can live.
- Record Stock in for the quantity you already have on hand.
After that, everyday work is the same loop: identify the item, choose the location, enter the quantity, save.
The three objects
- Item is catalog identity (name, SKU, unit). It does not hold quantity by itself.
- Location is a place stock can live — a warehouse, floor, or bin.
- Quantity lives on the combination of item and location. That on-hand number is what you count on the shelf.
Four ways to change stock
| Action | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Stock in | You received goods or are loading starting quantity |
| Stock out | You issued or consumed stock |
| Move | Stock left one location and arrived at another |
| Set | A count disagrees with the book, and you want on-hand to match what you counted |
Each save writes a movement, so you can always see what changed.
