Contacts, purchases, and sales

Suppliers, customers, and order documents that post stock

Contacts, purchases, and sales are on the Business plan. Free organizations can still receive and issue stock without naming a partner.

Contacts

A contact is a supplier or a customer. Open Contacts to add a name, then use that contact on a purchase, a sale, or a stock movement.

You can import and export contacts as CSV.

Purchases

A purchase is a supplier document. Create one from Purchases, add item lines, and post it. Posting records Stock in at the location you chose.

Use a purchase when you want the supplier and the received quantities on the same record. Use Stock in alone when you only need to increase on-hand.

Sales

A sale is a customer document. Create one from Sales, add item lines, and post it. Posting records Stock out from the location you chose.

Use a sale when you want the customer on the record. Use Stock out alone when you are consuming or issuing stock without an order.

Plans

Purchases, sales, and contacts are included during the 14-day Business trial and on a paid Business plan. On Free, open Settings → Billing to subscribe. Documents you already created stay stored and open again when Business is active.
