Reorder points and low stock
Set safety stock and reorder levels, then see what to reorder
Replenishment settings tell Daizy when an item is running low, so you can reorder before you run out. They live on the item and are reported in the Inventory report.
The four fields
Open an item, then find the Replenishment section:
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Safety stock | The buffer you keep on hand as a cushion |
| Reorder point | The on-hand level that means it is time to reorder |
| Reorder quantity | How much to order when you reorder |
| Lead time (days) | How long a supplier takes to deliver |
Set the fields you find useful. You can leave any of them blank.
How they compare
Daizy flags an item as low when its on-hand quantity falls below its reorder point, or below its safety stock. An item with neither value gets no status.
The status is calculated per item and does not change on-hand. It is a signal, not a stock movement. The Inventory report shows it as Below reorder or Below safety stock.
Where low stock shows
Open Reports → New report, choose Inventory, then use the Low stock filter. The report has a Reorder column that shows each item's status.
The Inventory report is part of the Business plan. During the 14-day trial and on a paid Business plan you can run it; on Free, open Settings → Billing to subscribe.
Set an item's levels
- Open Items and open the item.
- Choose Edit.
- Go to the Replenishment section and enter safety stock, reorder point, reorder quantity, and lead time.
- Choose Save changes.
You can also load these fields in bulk with the item CSV import. The columns are safety_stock, reorder_point, reorder_quantity, and lead_time_days. See Import and export CSV.
