Labels and printing
Design barcode and QR labels, then print them for your items
Labels is where you design a code label once and print it for any item. It is part of the Business plan.
Open Labels in the sidebar to see saved designs.
Create a design
- Go to Labels and choose Create design.
- Name the design.
- Choose a barcode or a QR code as the mark.
- Place the item fields you want, such as name, SKU, price, or custom fields, above, below, or to the right of the code.
- Save. The live preview shows the finished label.
Saved designs are reusable. A design is not tied to one item.
The code on the label
Every item can carry one internal code plus any extra codes you add:
- Internal code. Daizy generates it from the item ID. Generate it from the item's Barcode or QR codes section.
- Extra codes. Add an existing supplier or manufacturer code, with an optional label. You can add several per item.
A label prints the code type you chose for the design, using the item's matching code. See Managing items for where codes live on an item.
Choose a format
Pick a preset when you print, or use a custom size:
| Kind | Presets |
|---|---|
| Sheet | Avery 5160 (Letter 30-up), Avery 5163 (Letter 10-up), A4 24-up |
| Thermal | 40 × 30, 50 × 30, 58 × 40, 100 × 50 mm |
| Custom | Any width and height |
Print labels
- Open Labels and choose Print labels, or open an item and choose Print labels.
- Pick the design and the items to print.
- Set the number of copies per item.
- Print. The preview is the page that will print.
When you print from a stock in movement, Daizy fills the items and copies from the quantities received.
