Places stock can live

A location is a place stock can live: a warehouse, a floor, a room, or a bin. Quantity is always item × location — the same SKU can have different on-hand numbers in two places.

Open Locations in the sidebar to manage them.

One location or many

If you only have one place, you still need one location so Daizy has somewhere to put quantity. Stock in, stock out, and set will select it automatically. Move is for when a second location exists.

When you add another location, you can move stock between them and see on-hand per place.

Create a location

1. Go to Locations and choose Add location.
2. Give it a name people will recognize on the floor.
3. Nest it under a parent if you use zones or bins. A flat list is enough for most teams.
4. Save.

You can import locations from a CSV and export the current list from the same page.

Stock at a location

Open a location to see which items are there and how much is on hand. Change quantity with the stock tasks — in, out, move, or set — rather than editing the location record.
